Thanks to all the parents that attended our parent/teacher/ student conferences last week. Our class had 97% participation.

Mrs. Bassett will visit our classroom on Tuesday afternoon. We are also finishing up our puppets that we made for science. Our on-line puppet show will be up and running very soon.

We had a wonderful Pizza/Ice Cream party on Friday afternoon. A big thanks go out to Domino's Pizza and Maggie Moos! We have another chance to win the next pizza party on Thursday, March 10.

Our class is working in the lunchroom this week. Return your February reading calendar before Friday. Our reward activity is Friday at 1:30 for those students that have met their reading goal and returned their calendar.

On Tuesday afternoon, author, Gary Hogg will be at our school. He will talk about writing books and have some of his books here to sell. Don't forget your money if you would like one of his books.

We are having a Dr. Seuss Read-a-thon on Wednesday from 11-11:45. (No pajamas , no pillows, no blankets, just a couple of Dr. Seuss books.)

Our class WON the Domino's Pizza Night and will have our celebration pizza party on Friday afternoon at 3:00.

Parent Teacher Conference appointments are coming home today. Let me know if you can make your appointment.

We enjoyed Kids' College last Friday afternoon. Our class learned about genetics, physical and chemical changes, and rocks.

We haven't been to the Mustang Market lately, so we are going shopping tomorrow (Wednesday).
Then we'll start saving up our money for Mini-Mall.

Thanks for supporting our school and participating in the Domino's Dough Raising. Our class won on February 10. Now we get a pizza party. Yahoo!

Our student teacher starts today! Mrs. Johnson will be in our classroom for 6 weeks. We hope she likes our class and loves the third grade.

On Tuesday, some SUU students will teach a math lesson for us. This Thursday, Orchestra of Southern Utah will be in our gym for a short musical presentation.

Please do not bring your valentines until Monday, February 14. Lily's mom is planning a great party for us!

We have another Life Skills Assembly on Tuesday at 2:30. Our third grade achievement awards will be handed out on Friday at 10 A.M.

We've finished all the cursive letters and will work on spacing and connecting certain letter, such as o to r, v to i, b to r, etc. Very soon, we will begin writing our Daily Oral Language sentences in cursive.

We are finished studying about the Incas, and now will take a look at our own community and how own history compares to that of the ancient Inca society.

Lily's mom and Jaxon's mom, along with Christian's mom, are busy planning our class Christmas party. It will be Friday at 2:00 P.M. If you can help, please give one of these good moms a call. That is also our "Wear Your Santa Hat" day.

We won't work on Thursday, Dec. 16. We have a field trip that morning and may not get back in time. We are going to trade that day with a 4th grade class.

December 6-10

Our Christmas wreath is having in Lin's. It is right above the meat department. It looks amazing. Thanks to Cody's mom and Krystal's mom for their help in this endeavor.

Eighty-seven percent of our class is going to CVHS to see White Christmas on Monday afternoon. These are the students that met their November reading goal and returned their reading calendar.

The Fiddler's Christmas Choir Concert is Thursday at 2:30 for the student body. Friday morning we are having a pre-play seminar with Miranda Giles from SUU. Our class will go see A Christmas Carol on Thursday, Dec. 16 at 9:30 A.M. (More information soon to come.) Our room mothers are planning a Christmas party for the class for Friday, December 17 at 2:00 P.M.
