September 14-18

The PTA sponsored Walk-a-thon is this Thursday. If you haven't gotten your pledges in, please do so.

We are on lesson 13 out of 20 on keyboarding. Things are going well. I'm very impressed at how well these students are doing. We should be finished with the keyboarding lessons right before our parent conferences September 28- October 2.

We'll have our second Saxon written math test this week.

Please continue with your 20 minutes of home reading each night, as well as your one minute fluency timing. We'll have a reward as soon as our bucket is full.

September 8-11

Thursday is School Picture Day. Everyone will have their picture taken for the yearbook. Those that wish to purchase the picture packet will need their money on Thursday.
There is a flag ceremony in front of the school planned for Friday, September 11 at 9:00 A.M.
Student grades are coming home today. This will help students know where to start improving. Grades will usually come home every 4-5 weeks. We will go over the grade report during our parent/ teacher/ student conference / during the week of September 28- October 2.

There are a few students that I need to know if they are participating in the fluoride program. If you are one of these students, I have sent home another fluoride paper. Please let me know if you are or are not participating in the fluoride program.

We are ready for all the reading parents to start coming this week. Our power hour is from 11- 11:45 daily. There is still room for more volunteers. Thursday is open.
